Rap Snitch Knishes

This is a commission for someone who wanted me to design her boyfriend a poster for Valentine's day. Knowing that I am both a great designer and MFDOOM super fan, she came to me because her s/o was also a MFDOOM super fan and she knew she wanted to gift him something related to the rapper especially with his passing being announced a couple of months before February. After mentioning that 'Rap Snitch Knishes' was their favorite song, I immediately knew I wanted to create something that honored the iconic album cover that their favorite song came from titled 'MMM FOOD'. I wanted the album cover to remain recognizable in this poster while still strongly being reflective of my personal illustration style.
